These are experimental photos and therefore vary in quality, but they have interesting concepts behind them which I want to explore further.Â
I edited a few of these (the edited ones are obvious and extremely recolored).
Blue and orange go great together!!!!!
This long exposure actually has people in it, and they really do seem like ghosts. At the same time, there's a sense of opulence given by the gold colors.
Altered the hue to make a trippy color scheme
Going for a "night vision" effect with the recoloring
The blue-purple tint creates an interesting mystical/apocalyptic feel
Wet asphalt is interesting for reflections; I need a more interesting subject than Papa Johns
I've been taking photos of trees from below because they contrast well.

Reflections and colored lighting create strange effects.
Turning the contrast to the max makes lighting intense. Can you tell where this photo was taken?
Long exposure road photo. A tripod would have been very useful here.
Silhouette of a statue on UNCC's campus - could be better if taken still.
I think this one gives phojo aesthetic well. The dynamic of people interacting but separated by a table is pretty cool - there's a bit of tension here.
Very even lighting due to positioning in front of the sun on a bright day. There's a back glow effect on Owen's hair which is interesting.
Moving the light source to the side didn't quite create a silhouette, probably because Owen's face was still bright relative to the sun.
Had to turn down contrast to get a silhouette. Could do with a more interesting background.
Cityscapes are something I should explore. The black lines of the railing along with the black and white color scheme make the photo seem almost intimidating or noir.
There's quite a bit of detail in this photo, but it's a bit unsettling due to the plain white background. Reminds me of some scenes from Elf at the North Pole - there's a beautiful bleakness present.
These are Christmas lights photographed with long exposure. The texture is really grainy and spindle-like. Reminiscent of ghosts.
The lights seem as if they are worshipping something; could be more interesting with a subject,
Portrait mode did wonders here by drawing attention to the subject's hair and side profile. She looks like a movie character, especially with the gentle sun glow. Reflections are great for making compelling photos as well.
There's this particular allure in abandoned places when there should be people, but there just aren't. This was taken before opening at work and the Halloween decoration obviously indicates the creepiness of the environment - but I think I could do better with the composition in terms of making something unsettling.
An attempt at long exposure light painting. Even though it's messy, I like how Owen is ascending here.
Slanting the photo and changing the focus is a technique I particularly enjoy.
