Isabel brahma

Brahmas are great for hot or cold climates. They are good layers, laying between 150-200 large brown eggs a year. The hens are known to go broody if you let them and they make great mothers. The roosters are docile and great to be around. We do not like mean roosters and strive to breed friendly roosters that take care of their ladies. Roosters tend to be around 10lbs to 13lbs and hens are around 8lbs to 10lbs.

We got our Isabel Brahma in 2021 and fell in love with them. They are defiantly a favorite!

Our Isabel stock is from James Jones Lines, he directly imported them from Belgium. They are big beautiful birds.  We love these beautiful birds and hope you do to! We plan to breed towards to SOP the best we can. We have added a few birds from Carolina rare chicks into our program (2024) in hopes to add some more diversity.

We are taking a couple hens and putting a good quality gold partridge rooster over them to create some splits, we will then put an Isabel rooster over the splits to get Isabel again. This is to help with penciling and work and the structure of the birds to breed better to SOP. We will be working on getting rid of vulture hocks in our Isabel as well.
