For Presenters

  • The abstracts of all accepted papers will be published in an abstract booklet in digital format which will be distributed to participants.

  • Most oral presentations (except keynote presentations) are 20 minutes maximum (15-minute presentation + 5-minute Q&A).

  • Please be aware that going over the time limit only prevents further discussion, and it only results in the extension of the conference's time, which we would like to avoid. Please be respectful to your fellow presenters.

  • Presenters will be notified when a presentation is five and two minutes before its scheduled end, for a 15-minute presentation; the moderator displays a bright green and red paper as well as bell sound effect to advise presenters.

  • The broadcasting and livestreaming will be operated by the SAC professional production team through "Restream: Studio". The interface is very similar to Zoom. Please find a guide for Restream here.

    • Only 9 participants can join at once. You will be invited to join before the start of the day and during the breaks (morning, lunch break, and 2nd break). You will be notified when to join. Once the session is finished, you will be removed to allow the new group to join.

    • Other participants and audiences see the meeting via provided online SAC platforms (website, Facebook, and Youtube)

Notes about Conference Publication

You are invited to contribute a full research paper to Advances in Archaeomaterials (https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/advances-in-archaeomaterials). The AIA is an open access, peer-reviewed journal with a focus on archaeological science research, organised by prominent scholars in various fields of archaeological science. The special issue will be dedicated to this BUMA X conference acting as a proceeding. If you are interested, please reach out to us for any clarification.

We would like to thank Institute of Historical Metallurgy and Materials, University of Science and Technology Beijing and the editorial board for offering the special issue to BUMA X.
