The author needs to make sure that the prepared article is the result of his own works. Manuscripts that have been found to be plagiarism the work of others and have been published before will be automatically rejected. The authors need to declare their work is an original and never published in another journals, books and any types of publication in “manuscript submission form”. If the authors have used the work of others such as diagram, figure, theory and table, the authors must obtain permission from the publisher or author(s). If the authors used words of others, please cited or quoted their works.
Every author on the article should share responsibility and made a significant contribution to the work. The author(s) need to avoid the guest authors who has not been involved in writing the paper. In addition, someone has been involved in writing the paper must include in the list of authors. The others who have given small contributions to the article (language editing, review article draft) should acknowledge in the acknowledgements section.
The author(s) must declare no possibility conflict of interest for the publication. Financial support in conducting the research, collecting, and analysing the data, preparing the article, writing report, must be stated clearly.
Appropriate consents, permissions and releases must be obtained where an author wishes to include case details or other personal information or images of patients and any other individuals. Written consents must be retained by the author and copies of the consents or evidence that such consents have been obtained must be provided to editor on request.
If the author(s) is a government officer in the Sarawak Civil Service (SCS) intending to publish research that involves Sarawak Government data, case details, or information relating to employees, or members of the public, the author must first obtain written approval from the relevant Head of Department and the Sarawak State Secretary, in accordance with State Public Service General Orders 1996 - 168 ( 1) (e) – Conduct and Discipline and any other applicable state circulars or directives. The author bears full responsibility for ensuring compliance with the General Orders, relevant state laws, and data protection requirements.
