To increase global awareness and familiarize young students with foreign cultures and ways of life abroad through fun activities, authentic experiences, and friendships.

The after school meetings will last for an hour every other Friday at 3:30 from March to mid April. The meetings will be held at Wellesley High School and run by high school students. For each meeting, there will be an assigned culture for the program participants to learn about. The Building Cultural Bridges Program will have volunteers from the Wellesley community at each meeting to talk about their culture. There will be group activities/crafts related to the culture of the day. At the end of every meeting, there will be discussion questions to help guide their next Zoom session with their bridge partners.

The Zoom calls will occur once every other week on either Sunday at 10:30 or Wednesday at 1:30 and last around 30 minutes. Wellesley High School students will proctor each meeting and provide discussion prompts for the bridge buddy groups. These discussions will be reflected upon during the after school group meetings.
