Bueno has a Master of Arts degree in Japanese Applied Linguistics from the Waseda Universisty. He also has a degree in Languages (Portuguese and Japanese) from the Universidade Estadual Paulista/UNESP, Assis (2016) with further training in Japanese Language and Culture Teaching from the Japan Foundation (2021). He has been a teacher working in elementary, middle and high school. He was also an assistant teacher at the Japan Foundation in São Paulo (FJSP). He is currently a fellow reseracher from the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), working as a researcher and PhD's student at the Graduate School of Japanese Applied Linguistics at Waseda University (Tokyo). His research themes are related to interculturality, decoloniality, multimodality, critical literacy and Japanese language teacher training.
