In March 1977, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band were coming to the end of their two month long "Lawsuit Tour" as well as the end of nearly 2 whole years of touring behind Born to Run, released in August 1975. The last shows were set for March 22-25, 1977 at the Music Hall in Boston MA.

Touring extended for 2 years because Bruce wanted to work on the follow-up to Born to Run with Jon Landau instead of Mike Appel. Well Mike (being the one who "discovered" Bruce, as well as being the reason he was signed to Columbia), didn't exactly like this. And proceeded to sue Bruce and got an injunction to prevent Bruce from recording with anyone else as a producer. Barred from the studio, Bruce just kept on touring. This tour went by a couple names (Chicken Scratch and Lawsuit), and went on for all of 1976 and the first part of 1977.
But in early 1977, there was a light at the end of the tunnel. The lawsuit was nearing it's end, money was slowly starting to come in. The tour was to end with said 4 night stand at the Music Hall. Bruce and the band put on some of the best concerts they ever have. And Steve Hopkins was there to record it. Which is the source I used for this compilation.
The 4 concerts are remarkably similar in setlist and performance, only 20 songs performed over the 4 nights. So an idea was born; take the best versions of each show and mix them together into one big concert. This project was remarkably easier to make compared to Two Lanes, Two Hearts for two reasons:
All of the sources used are the exact same in terms of recording equipment and quality, so mixing them together would go faster than Two Lanes, Two Hearts, where mixing songs together involved mixing two songs together that were recorded up to 40 years apart and in different qualities and making it sound seamless.
The setlist, from the get-go, was going to be a little over half of TLTH. So it wouldn't take as long.
TLTH took around a month to mix together, disc 1 was around two weeks because I was learning how to mix as I went along. I had like 4 attempts at disc 1. Discs 2 - 4 were done in a few days, as I knew what I was doing, and I was off from class and had more free time.
Nights at the Boston Music Hall was done in 3 days total. Taking so long on TLTH kind of ruined it for me, as I remember exactly where the transitions are, and I can't enjoy the music because of it. So getting this one done quickly was a priority. Being all of the same quality and from the same source helped a lot.
The disc labels are separated from the rest of the download. As disc labels can come off and damage equipment while being played, especially players built into cars. So I am uploading them separately, so no one uses the labels and breaks their player.
I personally recommend taking the art and printing them onto the disc using a printer, some on amazon have the ability to print directly onto special discs. Lightscribe is also an option, as the drives are fairly cheap now a days, the media is more expensive due to Lightscribe being written off as a failure by HP and are no longer made and sold. So any left are basically old stock.
I'm just putting this here to protect me if someone ignores everything and makes the labels and breaks their player.
