Go to EdData.org
2. Select a County and a District, then press the "Go" button on the far right.
3. SELECT the "Financial Data" tab.
SELECT "+ Revenues and Expenditures" from the menu.
5. Once the Revenues and Expenditures window is open:
The General Fund information for the year is at the top, line 01-07.
The Total Governmental Funds information is at the bottom in bold.
6. Scroll down to "Year-End Summary for General Fund."
School districts proclaimed reserves are calculated by dividing the "Unassigned/Unappropriated/Unrestricted Net Position" by the Total Expenditures for the year.
7. 2023 LA Unified Example:
Proclaimed Reserves: $193,712,770 / $9,422,334,532 = 2.1%
(Unassigned/Unappropriated /Unrestricted Net Position / Total General Fund Expenditures)
Actual General Fund Reserves: $5,707,435,544 / $9,422,334,532 = 60.57%
(General Fund Ending Balance / General Fund Expenditures)
All Governmental Funds Reserves: $8,930,530,052 / $12,333,790,509 = 72.4%
(All Governmental Funds Ending Balance / All Governmental Funds Expenditures)
8. Use the arrows at either end of the displayed date range to navigate through the years, 2009-2025.
