Budget Tracker – Data Deletion Instructions
Effective date: April 17, 2026
Budget Tracker is designed to store most user data locally on your device. This page explains how you can delete your data.
1) Delete data directly in the app
You can remove individual data items inside the app, including:
Transactions
Budgets
Categories
Other budgeting records you created
2) Delete all local app data from your device
Because Budget Tracker stores most data on-device, you can permanently delete app data by:
Clearing app storage/data in your device settings, or
Uninstalling the app (and removing any related local files/exports)
3) Data processed by third-party AI providers (optional feature)
If you choose to use optional AI features (such as receipt/message expense extraction), selected content may be sent to the AI provider you configured (for example OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, or another provider you selected).
Budget Tracker does not control retention/deletion policies of those third-party providers.
To delete data processed by them, please use the deletion/privacy request process provided by that AI provider.
4) What happens after deletion
Data deleted from the app or device cannot be recovered by Budget Tracker.
If you previously exported files or shared data externally, those copies are outside the app and must be deleted separately by you or the receiving service.
