Welcome to Buddy. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Buddy mobile application ("Buddy," "the App," "we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using Buddy, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Buddy is a wellness and self-reflection application designed to help users reflect, journal, manifest, engage in guided meditations, participate in AI-supported conversations, and strengthen personal well-being.
Buddy is intended for general wellness purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, psychiatric, or emergency services.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, to use Buddy. By using the App, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.
Buddy offers an optional Buddy Pro auto-renewable monthly subscription through the Apple App Store.
Eligible new subscribers may receive a 3-day free trial. If the subscription is not canceled before the end of the trial period, the subscription automatically renews at the monthly price displayed in the App and charged through your Apple ID account.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing period.
You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings on your device.
If offered, you may restore previously purchased subscriptions using the Restore Purchase option within the App.
Subscription pricing may vary by country or region and is determined by the Apple App Store.
Some features require creating a Buddy account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account information up to date.
You agree not to:
Use Buddy for unlawful purposes.
Attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the App.
Upload malicious software or harmful content.
Reverse engineer, modify, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to Buddy or its systems.
Use the App in any manner that could harm other users or disrupt the service.
Buddy includes AI-assisted wellness and reflection features.
AI-generated responses are provided for informational and self-reflection purposes only. They are not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for qualified professional guidance.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency or mental health crisis, contact your local emergency services or an appropriate healthcare professional immediately.
Buddy, including its software, design, graphics, branding, logos, text, audio, and other content, is owned by Buddy or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
No rights are granted except as expressly provided in these Terms.
Buddy is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that Buddy will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Buddy and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or relating to your use of the App.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Buddy shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or subscription during the twelve months preceding the claim, if any.
We may suspend or terminate access to Buddy if these Terms are violated or if continued access could harm the App, other users, or applicable legal obligations.
You may stop using Buddy at any time and may delete your account through the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be published with a revised effective date.
Continued use of Buddy after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which Buddy operates, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
