Yes, BuddyRide is completely free of charge. It is entirely run by student volunteers who are dedicated to making your arrival a welcoming experience. Just make the request and we will be at the airport to transport you safely to your destination.
BuddyRide has a dedicated ride request form that can be accessed either on the registration page, specifically under the request subpage. Otherwise, you can click on the register at the bottom of any page and select the request form. Fill and submit forms at least a week before your travel. A representative will look over the submitted form and find out whether a ride is available for your travel date. A positive response will come with your driver's contact details and a waiver form that you need to sign and return at least 2 days before the travel.
A waiver form is a legal document where one party (the prospective passenger) agrees to relinquish or forgo a known right or claim against another party (the driver) in the event of certain specified circumstances, including an accident or damages where the driver is not complicit. YES, all prospective passengers are mandated to sign the waiver form, without which the ride will not be processed. By signing, you (the prospective passenger) agree to relinquish certain legal rights or claims against the driver in the unlikely event of an accident or damages, provided the driver was not complicit or grossly negligent.
Volunteerism is the core of our initiative. We need your support and would be delighted to welcome you to the team.

BuddyRide is highly dedicated to safety, taking strict precautionary steps to ensure secure travel for all users. All drivers are verified students authorized to drive legally in Canada. We conduct security checks on all our verified student drivers to confirm they can drive safely. However, safety isn’t just a promise; it’s a shared responsibility requiring effort from both the driver and the passenger. Our role is to provide safety measures, and we depend on you to help uphold them to keep every trip safe and secure.
