Believers Basic Training (BBT) is the flagship curriculum of Beyond the Walls Outreach, created to provide new believers with the structure, clarity, and foundation that is often missing after someone first hears the Gospel. Too often, a person comes to faith, is welcomed into the family of God, and then left to navigate their new life in Christ alone—handed a Bible, but without a clear path forward. BBT was designed to change that. Modeled after the three phases of United States Marine Corps boot camp, this curriculum recognizes that while salvation is instantaneous, spiritual growth requires intentional training. Because we are engaged in a spiritual war, believers deserve preparation—not confusion.
BBT is divided into three intentional phases. Phase One: Receiving focuses on understanding what a believer has been given—spiritual tools, the Word of God as their weapon, essential supplies, and their new identity clothed in the Armor of God. Phase Two: Foundation centers on establishing spiritual discipline through routine, learning to hear and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and understanding our heritage and identity in Christ. Phase Three: Combat Readiness prepares believers for active faith by emphasizing team building, discernment in relationships, and basic spiritual combat skills needed to stand firm and walk confidently. Believers Basic Training exists to move Christians from simply believing to being equipped, grounded, and ready to claim ground where ever the Lord leads them.
