Science Standards
One of the goals of the dedicated Science ISI/Fellowship Year is to develop teacher leaders who can help colleagues throughout the state integrate the shifts in science teaching required by the new state science standards. To accomplish this work, science fellows unpacked those standards with sessions and activities throughout the ISI and Fellowship Year. They used A Framework for K-12 Science Education (year 1) and the Idaho State Science Standards draft document (year 2) as a focus for their ISI teaching demos and Fellowship Year unit plans.

Connecting Science & Engineering Practices to Culminating Projects
Ali Ward, a Year 1 Science Fellow, led Year 2 fellows through an activity to brainstorm culminating project ideas for their unit plans that would assess students' understandings of the science and engineering practices.
