REGISTRATION
The conference registration system opened 15 February 2026. Speakers were notified when the system opened by email on the morning (UK time) of the same day. This email contained essential information for all speakers about the event, including registration deadline.
Speaker registration: Speakers will need to register before the end of of the early bird registration period on 31 March 2026. Early registration is required by presenters in order to schedule and promote the event.
Delegate (non-speaker) registration: This will remain open until around a week prior to the event. Early bird registration concludes 31 March, after which a standard fee will apply until registration closes. Standard registration closes 20 April, after which late registration continues at the same price but does not include the option for conference meal.
The early bird conference fee (and speaker registration fee) this year will be £175. Standard Registration (which begins on 1 April) will be £190.
To attend BSP events, speakers and delegates need to be members of the British Society for Phenomenology. If you are not already a member, membership (full and discounted, £40 and £20 respectively) will be added to the conference fee. When you become a member, you receive access to the Journal of the British Society for Phenomenology online for one year. JBSP Online publishes around 25 new research articles a year, and membership includes access to 50+ years of the JBSP. You can become a member at any time, for more information please visit our membership page.
The registration fee includes refreshments throughout the conference, as well as Wi-Fi access.
The registration does not include accommodation and travel, nor the conference meal.
The conference meal - on the evening of day 2 - is optional and costs an additional £19.95 which can be paid for during registration. For more details see our Evenings webpage.
Bursaries (for speakers only). As with all academic events, fees should generally be agreed and paid for by the participant's place of study or employment as part of their professional development. However, we understand under exceptional cases this is not always possible. Accordingly, applications for bursaries will be available for those needing financial assistance and are only open to accepted speakers. There are no delegate (non-speaker) bursaries. These can be applied for during the early bird registration period. Please read on for more information...
Attendees who may need a letter for a visa. For all speakers who have been through an anonymised peer review process during abstract submission and have been selected to present at the conference on the strength of their proposals, we will supply visa letters upon request - please contact us. It may be that prospective delegates (non-speaker attendees) will need a visa letter from the event organisers. Please read on for more information...
