Why Chose BSOA?

I chose the BSOA program because it truly aligns with my aspirations. My interest in this field began when I watched the K-drama What's Wrong with Secretary Kim. I became curious about secretarial courses and discovered that there is indeed a program specifically designed for office workers, especially those in secretarial roles. When I first entered college, I enrolled in an engineering program because I wasn't aware that SPAC offered BSOA. However, a friend of mine, who now works at SPAC, informed me about the secretarial course.

Then the pandemic hit, and I had to pause my engineering studies. During this time, I volunteered at Hope Channel Davao, where Sir Rhoen Catolico, the Communication Director of Davao Mission and the Media Director of Hope Channel Davao, encouraged me to continue my education. This led me to enroll in the Office Administration program. At that point, classes were still conducted online until the pandemic restrictions eased, allowing for a return to face-to-face learning.

From the moment I entered to my classes, I felt an immense sense of excitement and eagerness to learn subjects like Keyboarding, Stenography, Office Procedures, Legal and Medical Procedures, Human Anatomy, and more. One of the most unique aspects of the Office Administration program is the opportunity to complete three internships.

The first internship is the Office Administration Internship, where I gained hands-on experience in tasks such as filing, sorting, and typing minutes of meetings. I completed this internship at the Davao Mission Headquarters in Palm Drive, Bajada, Davao City. The second internship, which takes place during the first two and a half months of the second semester of the fourth year, focuses on legal office procedures. The third internship, also during the second semester of the fourth year, involves a medical internship for the final two and a half months.

Why Choose BSOA?

Choosing Bachelor of Science in Office Administration wasn't even in my first, second or even my last choice of program to be taken in college. I don't even know that there's a program like this offered. I am not familiar with the program BSOA. I shifted from one program to another, from BSREM, BSED Major in English and Accountancy. Those those program didn't make me realize my aspiration of what I want to do or the field I want to work with. 

It's pandemic when the learning mode shifted from face to face to online. I'm an accountacy student that time. Due to lack of interest of the program and having hard time catching up modular mode of learning i lost interest in the program. I am so confused what to do, then I browsed programs in the school website and found unfamiliar program. I search and studied the program's syllabus, the course offered and what was the possible job that I can possibly work in the future. Then it changed my perspective in that program and shifted cause it aligned with my passion and aspiration in life. 

BSOA offered so many opportunities, you have access to endless jobs and works. It is flexible that it can catch up with the trend and technology. Most or almost all of the business in the world has office or offices, and when there is office you can get a job. Not only that you can work as a administrative secretary, legal secretary and medical secretary. You can also handle events and do freelancing. Just mentioning few of the job you can apply and there is so much more. 

I choose BSOA not by choice but I found it in the process. I am proud being a BSOA student cause it made me realize my passion in my future field. Indeed it isn't an easy program most people thought, but with perseverance and commitment you can work finished it. I thank God for giving me this oppurtunity study and to have a program that suites my passion and aspirations. 

Why Choose BSOA?

Way back in 2020, I enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program in Butuan City. However, I soon realized that the course wasn't the right fit for me, so I decided to stop even before completing my first semester.

In 2021, my cousins encouraged me to continue my study at SPAC. I was convinced to give it a try, but I initially wanted to pursue a degree in Psychology. Unfortunately, SPAC did not offer that course. Determined to study there, I reviewed the available programs. Honestly, none of them appealed to me at first, and I felt discouraged.

Then, I came across the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) program. I didn't know much about it, but I decided to explore further and enrolled. I took the opportunity to ask Ma'am Amor Zapico about the course, and she introduced me to it with a brief explanation. Her description get my interest, especially since I enjoy working in an office environment.

During the orientation, which was held online, I learned more details about the BSOA program. The more I discovered, the more interested I became.

Now, as a 4th-year student, I can confidently say I have no regrets about choosing this course. It aligns with my interests, and I’m grateful for the decision I made.

I chose Bachelor of Science in Office Administration because I enjoy doing office-related tasks. During the pandemic, I realized how important office skills are, especially when managing responsibilities like organizing files, answering inquiries, and keeping things in order. This program fits my interests and helps me develop the skills I need for future work.  

Another reason I chose this course is that I managed our small business during the pandemic. I had to learn how to prepare documents, make schedules, and communicate with others effectively. These experiences made me appreciate office work and showed me how useful it is in daily life and business. It made me want to improve and grow in this field.  

Lastly, I believe this course will open opportunities for me to succeed. Office skills are important in many jobs, and they will help me become more professional and organized. With this course, I can also help others by sharing what I’ve learned. It feels good to know that I’m preparing myself for a better future while doing something I love.
