BSOA Department hosts a Transformative Evangelistic OutreachFrom December 3rd to 9th, 2023, Barangay Tubod in Bansalan, Davao del Sur, resonated with the spirit of renewal and faith as South Philippine Adventist College (SPAC) conducted its "U-Turn Towards the Savior" evangelistic outreach. Sponsored by the college's Office Administration Department, this week-long event served a triple purpose, enriching both the college community and the residents.
Each evening, Tubod residents were welcomed with a two-part program. They began by listening to Pastor Robenzon E. Zapico, MPH, and AB Theology student Saturn Jay R. Tandayag provide them with helpful wellness advice. Their enlightening health talks stressed the healthy coexistence of religion and wellbeing, encouraging participants to give holistic life first priority. A strong flame of hope and purpose was ignited inside the community by the six engaging speakers—Robert John B. Bernal, Qhirch Bhryan Dela Cerna, Jessalyn Meslos, Baby Claire Basia Pleños, Edelyn Mae, and Cristhel—who discussed and share the transformative message.
The culmination of this impactful week arrived on December 9th, a day marked by immense joy and spiritual transformation. In a moving ceremony, 15 individuals were baptized, officially embracing the Seventh-day Adventist faith and committing to a new path guided by their newfound beliefs. This momentous occasion served as a profound impact, showcasing the transformative power of faith and community engagement.
SPAC's "U-Turn Towards the Savior" outreach went beyond evangelism to create a beautiful weaving of empowerment, wellness, and spiritual awakening. The outreach effort not only delivered the message of salvation but also fostered a sense of shared purpose and community growth by actively engaging both students and citizens. As Tubod begins a new chapter with 15 new believers, the echoes of this transformative week continue to reverberate, reminding us all of the transformative power of faith and community.
