About Us

We are the Blessed Sacrament Homeschool Group Junior Classical League!

We are a chapter of the Tennessee Junior Classical League in Memphis, TN, and we are bringing the wonderful experience of the NJCL to other homeschooling students in our area.

We were officially started in the fall of 2021, and attended our first TJCL and NJCL conventions in 2022. We've piled triumph upon triumph as we encouter the contests and events run by the JCL and ACL.

As is visible above, I'm Joseph Nardo, the BSHG JCL President and Website Coordinator. I currently serve as Torch Editor on the TJCL Exectuive Board. I write Fantasy, play flute, study Latin and Greek, create Ansien (a language for my fantasy series), play strategy battle games and do a number of other things. My name is John Baltz; I am the BSHGJCL Torch Editor, Intermediate certamen team captain, and one of the grateful members of the one and only Blessed Sacrament Homeschool JCL. I am a Latin 2 student and enjoy learning anything and everything about classical subjects. Unsurprisingly, I enjoy certamen and academic testing events since they are great for fast recall and learning capacity. I would encourage any and all prospective members to strongly consider the BSHGJCL.
