The 2026 Edition of the Workshop on The Economics of Science and Innovation will be held on July 15 and 16th at the Bordeaux School of Economics (Bordeaux, France).
In today's world, science is a driving force behind technological progress and innovation. Whether conducted in university or corporate labs, and regardless of funding sources, scientific research is now a focal point for economists studying innovation, management scholars, and policy evaluators.
This year's workshop is dedicated to bringing together PhD students and young researchers to share their insights into the expansive field of the Economics of Science and Innovation. We invite submissions from diverse perspectives, exploring a wide range of topics within the field. Key themes include the evolving organization of scientific research, the global dynamics of education and the job market for scientists, the impact of gender and ethnic diversity on research outcomes, the role of intellectual property in technology transfer, the effects of policy interventions, etc.
Submit your contributions and be part of the vibrant discourse shaping the future of this dynamic field.
Online submissions open on April 5, 2026, and close on May 15, 2026.
Decisions on acceptance will be made on May 20, 2026.
Registration will close on May 31, 2026.
