The Troop Scribe (TS) keeps the troop records. He records the activities of the Patrol Leaders' Council (PLC) and Scout all troop meetings. He takes attendance all every troop activity, meeting and outing.
DUTIES:
Attends and keeps minutes of Troop meetings and Patrol Leaders' Council (PLC) Meetings.
Publishes minutes of meetings promptly (ex. by Sunday for a Thursday Troop meeting).
Communicates with the Troop, adult and Scout leadership in a timely and effective manner using the Troop email group, phone, texting, social media, etc.
Keep attendance records for Troop meetings and other events, records will be filed and/or reported on a monthly basis.
Arranges for a replacement and notification when he cannot attend or perform any of the above in a timely manner.
Attends at least 80% of the Troop meetings and monthly events during his service period.
Sets a good example.
Wears the Scout uniform correctly.
Lives by the Scout Oath and Law.
Shows and develops patrol spirit.
REQUIREMENTS:
Tenderfoot rank or higher
Demonstrate an acceptable level of maturity and responsibility to the Troop leadership
Must be attending most meetings and outings prior to voting
