Although there is no way to entirely eliminate the risk of transmission of COVID-19 or other communicable diseases when meeting in-person, we are making good faith efforts to minimize those risks. We will follow the guildance of Montgomery County Public Schools, holding our meetings outside if classes are not being held in-person. If classes are being held in-person, we will meet as usual.
We will follow masking guidance of the CDC for our area. As needed we will have a policy of one Scout per tent, unless the Scouts are brothers. By enforcing these minimal rules, we hope to allow Scouts to safely enjoy each other's company, learn new skills, serve the community, and gain leadership experience.
We encourage families that are not comfortable with the remaining risks of outdoor activities and meetings under these constraints to speak with Troop leadership, and we will work with the family to accommodate their Scout's desires for skill learning and rank advancement.
