What it means to be a Realtor

My interest in real estate began several years ago while operating a janitorial business. My business managed janitorial services for 135 overnight rental cabins across the Sevier County area, including rental cabins in Wears Valley, Waldens Creek and Pigeon Forge. Most cabin rental companies share real estate offices and watching the daily functions of Realtors made me know I can be just as successful as a Realtor.

Real estate’s real meaning for me is being a tremendous help to people. There’s real meaning when I walk first time home buyers through the home buying process and welcome them into “their” first home after closing. I count it a privilege to help our veterans buy or sell their home. I feel it is the least I can do to give back to those who gave so much. At the end of the day, what matters most are the lives I have touched and made a little better in some way.

I have learned that the best Realtors must be knowledgeable, understanding and patient. The best Realtors are always willing to go the extra mile. We must keep our client’s best interest top priority. My experiences in life have shaped me to serve people in any way possible. A missionary once spoke at my church in Wears Valley and made a profound statement that has stayed with me through the years. She said, “I do this because I love Jesus and Jesus loves you!” That, to me, sums it up.

A wise man once told me “Everything you do in life, good or bad, goes on a wheel. One day your deed will come back around to you”. My life has been guided by this same principle. I’m in this to make friends for life, and living life by the golden rule is the only way to do it right

My life’s mission is to help people in their time of greatest need and to help others be their best by offering my best. My career goals have been to perfect my skills, abilities and gain experience, refining me into a valuable friend.
