Below are the virtual tools I have utilized over my teaching career to better my instruction. These tools have shown to be effective in their own ways and have allowed me to expand my teaching repertoire. Here are a few that I use, regularly, to make online teaching much more conducive to learning.
Nearpod has allowed me to create and provide my students with interactive lessons about a wide variety of topics.
Kahoot is a fun and easy way I have been able to informally assess my students on their knowledge of varous subject areas. It is also great for review!
This simple and easy to use app has allowed me to better connect student and parents. Providing all with important information.
Padlet has allowed me to better collaborate and discuss topics with my students. This simple collaboration board allows for a concise and simple way to share ideas and thought on any given topic.
Some of the amazing tools I have been able to access on G suite include GoogleClassroom, GoogleSlides, GoogleDrive, and Gmail.
Pear Deck is a very fun and interactive online tool that allows me to plan and carry out lessons, virtually, to my students.
An online application that has allowed me easily assign, grade, and share information with students. This online tool is paramount for virtual instruction, particularly when students are not in school and do not have the materials at home to complete their work!
