Bridges in Motion unites four remarkable choreographers, each with an outstanding international background, for a mixed-bill night of world premieres.

This edition marks a truly special moment for the company with the participation of Steven McRae, Principal Dancer of The Royal Ballet in London, who will present his first world premiere for Brussels City Ballet. Steven brings his virtuosity, explosive energy, and unique artistic voice to this new creation.

Alongside him: Zino Merckx, Belgian talent trained at the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp and now dancing with Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo. His choreographic language blends physical intensity with poetic nuance. Glen Lambrecht, an emerging Belgian choreographer whose crisp, contemporary voice has already made an impression on international stages. He returns to the company with a new creation eagerly anticipated by our audiences. Gaetano Vestris Terrana, Ballet Master of Brussels City Ballet, known for his dynamic, expressive works that have become part of BCB’s identity. He presents a new piece created especially for our dancers.

These four artists – each with distinct styles and visions – come together to shape a vibrant and diverse program performed by the international dancers of Brussels City Ballet, representing Belgium, France, Canada, Italy, Spain, Japan, the United Kingdom, Korea, the United States, and Germany.

With lighting design by Francis Mannaertt, long-time collaborator of Maurice Béjart, Bridges in Motion promises a choreographic journey where cultures, styles, and artistic voices meet, converse, and transform. A unique event, not to be missed by dance lovers, curious minds, and all audiences eager to discover the future of ballet in Brussels.
