Uchoa Group

Research on Topological and Strongly Correlated Electron Systems

Our group is focused  on many-body quantum systems where novel phenomena can emerge from the interplay of strong interactions and non-trivial topology. This area abridges a variety of physical systems, such as nodal materials, a class of correlated electron systems where the Fermi sea can be collapsed into a set of points or lines, quantum critical phenomena, various quantum Hall effects, quantum hydrodynamics, out-of equilibrium systems  and the physics of strange metals.
