A. Around 2020, the UCLA campus has been scattered with a number of shared E-Scooters that students and members of the community can use to get around campus and Westwood. Our project seeks to understand how the introduction of these E-Scooters has impacted student transportation mode choices. Does UCLA's hilly campus promote the usage of these E-Scooters or bikes, or are they too expensive for some? These are questions we seek to answer with our research study.
A. Absolutely! Our study targets the members of the UCLA community as a whole. We understand that everybody utilizes their respective transportation mode for a myriad of reasons. We hope to understand those decisions in our survey whether its riding an e-scooter or not. The survey also has an attitudes section for you to voice some of your concerns regarding e-scoters.
A. We intend to publish our findings in academic journals, share them with UCLA transportation, Bird Shared E-Scooters, and of course, here for the participants and community to see. No personal identifiers will be included in our publication to protect participant information. Check back at the end of the Spring Quarter for our preliminary findings!
A. The raffle will occur when we have recruited a sufficient number of participatns in the survey. Keep an eye on your email for raffle information. Winners will be annonced by the end of the Spring Quarter by email.
