Metroid: Scrolls 6 is a full, open-ended Metroid Zero Mission hack, originally made for the 2018 Berserker Contest made by Conner, OneOf99, CaptGlitch and JRP.
This version is an overhauled version of the original contest hack.
The hack has full graphical changes and a full original soundtrack.
You can play and explore 7 full areas and might also find things never used in a hack before.
The Space Pirates and Ridely flash freeze an unknown planet. Though their intentions are not fully known, Samus
gets word of their actions and sets out to end them. Her intentions however, are known. She simply stated before
she left for the planet, "I'm bored and want to kill things." Seems noble.
Strangely, both the readme file and the upload to metroidconstruction didn't contain much info about the rom. Just know that it got an award for "Top Hacks 2018 - Best Overall".
Project Base keeps the original Super Metroid map mostly intact, while adding new stuff. It doesn't force the player to take a new path, or to use any advanced techniques. Sequence breaks and shortcuts have been left alone, with new ones added. Highly speedrunnable, and with a level of difficulty that is accessible to anyone. Works with Snes9X, ZSNES, higan/BSNES, and on SNES/flash cartridges.
The name "Project Base" refers its original purpose, which was to act as a base hack for others to build from.
Samus Aran has been contracted to investigate an installation on Planet Auriga.
Arrival is Samus's last stand against the Federal Government and the planet SR-319. This is where the Metroids once inhabited, until they became "extinct". Though, as Samus dives deep into the planet to seek safety, she finds that not all is as it seems.
Enemies get Stronger.
The World is Creepier.
Life is Tougher.
Galactic bounty hunter Samus Aran is sent to investigate planet Eris. The Federation research team's outpost has ceased transmissions. Upon receiving mission details, Samus is reminded of the recurring dreams she'd been having the past weeks.
Dreams of a cold planet and, in the distance, the faint cries of a child.
Could these dreams have something to do with the mysterious disappearance of Eris Stations' research team? The answer lays buried deep within the lethal depths of Eris. Let the mission begin!
Die-hard fans of sci-fi will be pleasantly surprised with how the Metroid canon merges with other beloved sci-fi franchises.
Help Samus get a glass of milk for Adam at 2 AM.
I had an idea for a quick Fusion hack just to show off some things that can be done with the game but then it became this and I kind of hate it now lmao.
Metroid Fusion Master Quest is a hack that aims to remix all of metroid fusion. Adding new puzzles and changing old ones to make them more challenging. With generally more enemies per room, tighter platforming and new SA-X encounters this hack is slightly harder than the original fusion but is still casual friendly, no advanced tricks are required as I cannot do them myself.
This hack will test your knowledge of Fusion as secret shortcuts become the only way forward and entire sectors have to be traversed in different ways. You'll have to keep your eyes open for details in the environment to find secrets and items, of which many have been shuffled to entirely different rooms, and Adam will provide general advice as you progress.
Metroid: Oil Spill is a Fusion hack testing the waters and interest in a non linear Fusion.
Story: Samus must infiltrate an suddenly abandoned Oil Freighter that is currently leaking a new and unknown type of oil. She must deploy the auto repair drones from inside the ship and hopefully save the wildlife from catastrophe!
