About Me:

A little about me...

I have been teaching at Como Lake for 2 years and love our school community! I love that students can experience and try new things at our school, and figure out who they are. Students will have many opportunities to get involved this year, from expo classes, Genius Hour activities, ski and snowboard mountain riders program, camping, the many, many sports and clubs we have, and leadership. There is truly something for every student to get involved in; DO IT!

I grew up a few hours away in Kelowna, amidst the beautiful Okanagan Valley. Kelowna was the best place to grow up, with amazing beaches, bike routes, hiking and ice cream parlours in the summer, and incredible champagne powder for skiing at Big White in the Winter. I grew up at Big White, but now love hitting the slopes at Mt. Seymour with the Mountain Riders crew in the winter. When I am not at school, I love going for walks and hikes around Vancouver, painting pottery, going to music shows, trying new restaurants, reading a good book, playing pickleball, watching reality TV and spending time with family and friends. 

I love living in British Columbia and found myself moving to Vancouver for both my Bachelor of Arts in Communication from SFU, and then moving back for my Bachelor of Education from UBC in 2024. I have loved living in the Lower Mainland and was happy to be able to find an amazing place to work in Coquitlam and stay around these areas. I have been lucky to explore many countries including: England, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Israel, Hong Kong, Australia, Mexico, Jamaica, the Bahamas, and more! If you ever want to talk travel, I would love to hear your recommendations from our beautiful and diverse world!
