All students are invited to electronically submit your artwork to be included in this year’s Bear Tracks! Bear Tracks is a full-color bound book showcasing the artistic talent of Brown Elementary School students. Each participating student will receive their own book containing all the projects. Submissions are due by February 23rd, 2026.

Paintings
Any other artwork that can be digitally submitted and printed.
Proofread your work before turning it in.
Nothing inappropriate will be accepted. Content must be appropriate for all elementary grade levels (Y5-5th, approximate ages 4-12). The principal will make the final decision on questionable content.
Students may submit up to 2 projects.
Note: If you submit 2 projects, they will both be printed on the same page.
IMPORTANT: If two students submit the same artwork (ie, from an art class), the first submission will take priority. The second entry will be given the opportunity to submit another piece.
Find joy in expressing yourself artistically!
Only electronic submissions will be accepted.
Please submit your project(s) via our submission form: Submit Young Author & Artist Work Here!
Photograph your work in a flat position with good lighting. If you have access to a scanner, this is a wonderful option.
Try to keep the artwork square to your camera - watch those corners! Rotated pieces are difficult to crop.
Try to keep the camera parallel to the artwork. Tilted cameras result in one side of the work being narrower than the other, and cropping again becomes difficult. Taping to a white wall or your fridge can help.
Watch out for shadows, especially the shadow from the photographer.
