Track Meet

John Hall Elementary Track Meet

The elementary track meet is one of the highlights of the year for our upper grade levels.  The three local elementary schools meet to compete against one another in a number of events, including

• 100 meter dash

• Softball Throw (in place of shot put)  

• 60 Meter Dash

• Running Long Jump

• Grade Level Relay Races (not all students participate in this event)

All students participate in each event except for the final relays, which consist of one team from each class in each event.  The relays close out the track meet and are run while the rest of the students cheer from the stands.  Relay order is typically:

1. 3rd Grade Girls

2. 3rd Grade Boys

3. 4th Grade Girls

4. 4th Grade Boys

5. 5th Grade Girls

6. 5th Grade Boys

Parents and Guardians are welcome to come cheer for their students at this event.

Volunteering at the Track Meet

This event is not possibly without a strong crew of volunteers.  If you would like to help out and have a background check on file, please fill out the form below.  

The track meet is May 15th.  Volunteers will meet at 11:00am for station training by the gym teachers.  The event will wrap up around 2:45pm.  No track experience is required for this!

Due to the focus needed by volunteers, younger siblings should not attend with volunteers.
