Maria Bolar selected for DOE-SCGSR award

For the first time, an NAU student has been bestowed with a DOE-SCGSR award -- PhD candidate Maria Bolar. Maria will be examining polymer electrolytes and structural supercapacitors at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 2022, using quasielastic neutron scattering and other techniques. NAU is back and in person! University policy states that masks must be worn at all times in classrooms, laboratories, and meeting places. For information on mask policies, vaccines, and more, see the Jacks are Back website. Thank you for doing your part to keep our community healthy and safe!

Flagstaff is an amazing place to be! We have mountains, deserts, access to amazing canyons and rivers, and four real seasons. At 7000 feet elevation, Flagstaff is also a destination for elite athletes, and many call Flagstaff home. There are fantastic trailheads around every corner for hiking, biking, and running, and we're less than 60 minutes from the Grand Canyon and 30 minutes from the red rocks of Sedona. Come see why Olympians train here, and why some never want to leave!
