In Loving Memory
of
David Johnson
and
Kevin Cardona
Michael Johnson and Ken Cardona have been friends, teachers at Haman Elementary School in Santa Clara, and golf buddies for many years. Sadly, they both lost their brothers in 2024. In honor of their brothers, Michael and Ken, along with family and friends, founded The Brothers Memorial Golf Tournament.
The inaugural event was held Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Del Monte Golf Course in Monterey, CA.
The tournament was a scramble (best ball) format, with a shotgun start at 8:30 am.
An awards ceremony and luncheon followed from 1:00 - 3:00.
Thank you to everyone who participated! The day was a huge success!
Congratulations to Austin Shake and his team for winning the tournament!
Proceeds will be donated to Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area in memory of the brothers.
Special thanks to:
Laura Bray for all her work behind the scenes making the event run smoothly from regiastration to the finish!
Denise Cardona for the beautiful signs!
Barbara Bray for the flowers and table decorations!
Matt Welling and Del Monte Golf Course for their wonderful organization, professionalism, and delicious food!
We hope you can join us next year at The 2nd Annual Brothers Memorial Golf Tournament!
