Kevin Franklin Cardona, a loving husband, father, and son, passed away on October 26, 2024. He recently celebrated his 58th birthday on October 18, 1966. His final hours were shared with friends and filled with happiness and celebration.
Kevin was proud to tell stories of his childhood in Corralitos. He loved to share memories of selling the fruits from his family's orchard and fishing in the creek on their property. As a child, he discovered a passion for performing magic, which he carried into his adult life. He later attended Palma High School, where he managed the band Rented Tux and served as the director of activities.
After high school, he became a printing apprentice and began his career in the industry. He later excelled as a salesman, working with accounts in the Silicon Valley. In 1990, he met the love of his life Denise at a club in Monterey. The couple married in 1996 and welcomed their beautiful daughter Claire in 1998.
Kevin and his family shared many fun memories of traveling everywhere from Disneyland to different countries in Europe. Kevin was also the master of the barbecue and his prized pizza oven, which he loved to use when they entertained and hosted Thanksgiving feasts. He passed down his love of alternative music to his daughter Claire, who will forever think of him when she listens to his favorite bands and albums.
Kevin is preceded in death by his father Henry Cardona and his father-in-law George Alkire. He is survived by his wife Denise and daughter Claire, his mother Rose Marie Cardona, sisters Karen Elerick and Kate Sutherland, his brother Ken Cardona, and mother-in-law Kathryn Alkire. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Kevin's humor and loving nature will forever be missed by his family and all who knew him.
