  • Graph-Based Trial Order Counterbalancing (Brooks, 2012): A Matlab tool based on Brooks (2012) for generating sequences of conditions for experiments which counterbalances for carryover effects between conditions. You can generate sequences of trials in which each condition precedes every other condition equally often. It is also possible to achieve n-back counterbalancing in which each trial is preceding by every n-length combination of conditions equally often.

  • Figure-Ground Stimulus Generators (Brooks & Driver, 2010): A set of Matlab functions which can be used to generate bipartite images with pseudo-random edges for use in figure-ground organisation studies. Parameters allow control of edge bumpiness, smoothness, region colours, etc. Used to generate stimuli for Brooks & Driver (2010).

  • AGAT: Data Driven ROI Localisation for ERPs (Brooks, et al., 2017): A data-driven approach to finding ROIs in ERP studies without inflating Type I error rate which can increase statistical power. See the Brooks, Zoumpoulaki, & Bowman (2017) paper and visit this section to download simulation scripts and a tool for computing AGAT in EEGLab.
