New Students !! Lifelink Bridge is enrolling!
We are a team of college peers, some of whom are DACA recipients, who are dedicated to provide the support, resources and network to help our community. As we continue to grow, we hope that our values and mission spreads outside of Lifelink and into our communities in New York City.
Hi everyone, my name is Emtiaz Mohamed. I am currently working on my bachelors degree within John Jay college and I am an ambassador of the Dream Team and I joined it because of my passion to aid DACA students. It's always been quite clear how I want my role to be helpful to the community especially since my community once helped me. I believe it's incredibly important to have a support system to lean back on which is why I want to be apart of that.
Hi everyone my name is Esveidy I am a freshmen in BMCC and I am an ambassador for Brooklyn Lifelinks's Dream team. I joined the Dream team in order to help undocumented people know that they are not alone and that there is many resources or scholarships available to them. I have seen how difficult it is for undocumented people to find resources and scholarships to help them and in school they usually only talk about scholarships that are only useful for document people, with the dream team we hope to creat a safe space and inform undocumented people on their rights, resources, and scholarships to help.

Hello my name is Mitzi Castillo and I’m a peer coach at Brooklyn Life and co-coordinator of Lifelink’s DreamTeam. I Graduated from Kingsborough Community College with an associate degree in Theatre, currently seeking my bachelors degree at Hunter College. DreamTeam has been a long term goal for Irma and I. As a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) recipient, I understand how important it is to advocate, support and create a network system for DACA recipients and undocumented students, families, friends and community. As we continue to grow I hope that our DreamTeam creates a safe space for all, including allies.

Hi everyone, my name is Yareli Lopez I am a freshman at BMCC and I am an ambassador of the Dream Team and I joined the team because I have family that is undocumented and I want to help them and others with information especially my community where most people are scared to do anything because they don't know their rights. I believe it's important to have a team/program that people can take a look at and learn more about what they can do and to not be afraid which is why I am a part of this team, to help others.
