After graduation, I plan to get my feet wet and gain some real world experience before attending master's school. I believe this will better prepare me for what master's school has to offer, and what organizations are going to expect of me with a master's degree. Once this time comes, I plan to complete the GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) and receive professional letters of recommendation from supervisors at positions I earned with my bachelor's degree. I believe this will allow me to submit an impressive proposal and transcript. I would like to pursue Health Administration to further my expertise in the healthcare/business setting.
My big picture goal is to have a good work-life balance. I believe I will love my job and excel at it, but I also want to spend time with my family and experience the world and make memories. Within my career, I don't just want to be apart of a team that is making a difference in healthcare, but I want to be a valuable member of this team and contribute to the changes being made. I believe the sky is the limit, I would like this to apply to my personal and professional life.
Professionally, geography is most important to me as I am very family-oriented and would like my future family, to know their aunts, uncles and grandparents as I stated above. Secondly, is the professional setting as I love the office environment. I feel so productive sitting at a desk with a list of things to get through and not many distractions. I am a very organized person, so this environment is something that interests me. I also enjoy being close with my coworkers, which I believe is achievable if we are constantly communicating and helping each other on tasks in the office. It creates a great culture amongst coworkers. Lastly, functionality is the least of my concerns as I am still new to the HSM working force and I have many interests and still need to find what particular discipline I am best at and ultimately enjoy.
Later on down the road my interests may change as I experience different positions. I believe having different positions and experiences will build and strengthen my organizational, planning, and promotional skills.
