The School of Visual, Media and Performing Arts AREI Contest encourages students to share their ideas about an antiracist, equitable, and inclusive campus at Brooklyn College through their artistic production.
We invite students to submit a creative project responding to these central ideas on an interpersonal, institutional, and/or global level:

CRITERIA FOR ENTRY
Any currently enrolled student with a major, minor, or concentration in the arts, OR any student currently enrolled in a School of VMPA course can enter. We encourage personal creative work or collaboration with undergraduate and/or graduate student peers. Feel free to seek guidance from a faculty and/or staff mentor across disciplines and across departments.
PRIZES
1st Prize = $1,000
2nd Prize = $500
3rd Prize = $250
One Honorable Mention from each Department: Art; Conservatory of Music; Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema; Film; Television, Radio and Emerging Media; and Theater
*For collaborative entries, artists will share the prize.
