The Annual Town Meeting convenes to consider and vote on the Town's budget for the coming fiscal year, to vote on major issues such as zoning reform brought by leadership, and to consider any citizen petitions/articles that have been filed for the Spring warrant.
Meeting in Brookline High School Auditorium at 7 pm each night, the annual Town Meeting is when we consider and vote on the budget for the next fiscal year. Spring 2026 will also see votes on a major development package for Chestnut Hill and any necessary appropriations following the outcome of the override planned for the May 5th election. Any resident of Brookline is welcome to attend a Town Meeting and may speak to the assembly with the permission of the Moderator. Only elected Town Meeting Members may vote on any of the articles.
