1. -  18+: This is an 18+ server. You must be 18+ to join, also your character must be 18+.

2. - We have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for: Harassment, racism,  sexism,  homophobia, Threatening, hate speech, bullying, suicide or self harm, children/pregnancy or slavery, bulling or making fun a person with a disability. It will NOT be tolerated. Penalties could result in a life sentence on Siska, with no chance of parole. In retrospect, it will be a permanent life sentence.

*Governors are allowed to over rule the Law book*

3. - Harassment: If someone asks you to stop "flirting" with them, or stop a specific "harassment action", then please stop. It may make that person uncomfortable even though it may seem harmless or fun to you. If you feel like you are being harassed, please open a ticket and report with a clip.

4. - RDM: (Random Death Match) - Randomly attacking someone, hogtying, or shooting anyone just because you feel like it, without RP (Role Play) is unacceptable and could be a more severe punishment.

5. - VDM: (Vehicle Death Match) - Running over anyone with a horse or wagon intentionally is not allowed.

6. - Spawn Point - The initial spawn point for new players is Located in Blackwater, and St. Denis! No one  is to stalk the initial spawn points (Blackwater and St. Denis Goverment Buildings) for new players just to randomly kill them. Don't be a pickle. For new players, once you leave the Government building, be prepared. There are wild animals, and citizens amongst. 

7. - Streaming:  Stream Sniping - Stream sniping is the act of someone using your stream against you. Stream Sniping here in Broken Outlaws is prohibited. If you are present in a streamer’s chat while on the server, it will be assumed as evidence of stream sniping if there is a complaint that has been submitted. To report if you have been stream sniped, please open a ticket and submit a clip with evidence.

8. - Character: NEVER break character. Please remain in character for the entire scene/situation in role play. If there is an issue, please submit a ticket with a clip, but remain in character. The only time you are allowed to break character is when a staff member has announced themselves as staff and are talking to you in game.

9. - Downed outside of conflict: Downed Outside of Conflict - If you’re downed but aren’t in active conflict (e.g., kicked by a horse, falling damage), you are incapacitated.

9.1: You may speak and choose to retain your memory.

9.2: You may respawn in place or at the nearest doctor.

10. - Downed During PVP Conflict: Downed During PvP Conflict - If you are downed during an active player-to-player conflict, you are unconscious. You can remember everything up until you lose consciousness, but you can not remember anything until you are "awake again". When you are unconscious, you can make noises, (Utter), but you cannot remember the details or what happened while you were unconscious. 

10.1: If downed due to law enforcement action, you must submit to detainment on scene.

10.2: You may not re-engage another player during an encounter after they’ve been downed.

10.3: If you revive/wake up during active PVP; you may only seek medical aid, hide, or flee the scene. You may choose to remain downed until other characters provide assistance. You may not respawn at the doctor.

11. - Value of Life: VOL - You must value your life. Example: If three members of a gang unfortunately chose to rob you and they have 3 people while you are alone, you must value your life. Be compliant. If it's a one on one situation and someone points a weapon at you and yours is not out, again, fear your life. Make the conscious decision like you would in real life. Do not jump of mountains, moving trains or high buildings... accidents happens but you don't do that on purpose.

12. - Caught during a crime: If you have been caught during a crime, the Law will be confiscating any weapons that have been used in a robbery or murder.  When caught using a weapon(s) in these crimes against officers or civilians, officers will have the right to collect any weapons on you.  Upon investigation, you will get your weapons back if deemed innocent.  This will bring better RP to our county.  If you do any criminal acts, expect to lose all your weapons if you are caught.

13. - Robberies / killing for PVP: When you are killed by another player, you can’t remember anything for the last 30 minutes in real time.  Do not go back to revenge kill them.

13.1: You are allowed to rob or kill individuals within a scene. You are NOT allowed to ROB AND KILL a player. Choose one or the other. All robberies and shootings must be RP. The player being robbed can alert the Law to further Roleplay scenes. The player being killed, can alert the Law and the Doctors to further RP. Please do not message admins if you are hogtied.

13.2: Upon robbing someone, you shall NOT take any, Job Books, or Diamond rings (Wedding band).

13.3: You are not allowed to lure someone in to rob them while they are working. (Example: Call the train and rob the conductor). You are not allowed to rob someone while they are working at their job! You can however, use them as a hostage. 

13.4: You must always use a hostage while robbing a bank, a fort, or a general store. You are not allowed to use a friend as a hostage, you must find someone to be a hostage that is not associated with you or the members committing the robbery. Robbing a hostage is not allowed. Killing a hostage is not allowed unless and only if,  the hostage is NOT complying with fearing of life.
13.5: All criminal & combat roleplay and any other activity must stop at the 30 minute restart warning.

13.6: The suspect who has committed a crime can stand before a judge and be tried before a jury.

The people who have been selected for jury duty (Randomly if they choose to participate) can vote on which punishment should be carried out. Where upon the judge pronounces the verdict.

14. - Gangs/Crews/Families- Gang/crews/family/groups: - are limited to 8 players while traveling. Which means, 8 members of your gang can ride together at the same time. You may still gather or meet up in larger groups in public places, such as towns, houses, or camps.  

14.1: Police combat limit is 5. Do not engage in combat RP with police with more than 5 players unless the police are the initiating party. 

14.2: Robbing other parties is limited to a group of 5.

14.2: The leader of a group can announce a war by going to the enemy with a lowered flag to announce a war with them. Find each other first instead of starting to slaughter everyone.

15. - Tribes:  Tribes- Tribe’s are encouraged to dress similarly, i.e. Traditional, Particle, or Settler. (This will be held to the discretion of the Tribe’s Chief) 

15.1: It is legal for tribes to possess cannabis plants and products made from the plants. 

15.2: It is illegal to sell to locals and civilians. 

15.3: A tribe must have 2 members (Tribe Leader and a Shaman). Tribes have the ability to be hostile while in their Reservation area. You must initiate RP, new players may not be aware of the area they are in. This does not allow for kill on sights. Keep in mind that Tribes have the ability to run a tribal shop. (Hostile RP may deter customers)

*Shawmans*

15.4:  Shamans will have to follow Doctor’s law.

15.5:  Shamans are also protected under Doctor’s Law

15.6: Each Shaman must go through a medical training program. In the being this will be held by the Settler’s Doctor until a Shaman trainers is identified.

15.7: Shamans should be easily identifiable. They will be required to wear the native over the shoulder bag that illuminates when on duty. If a Shaman is arrested, they can not be forced out of their role in the tribe (Most tribes view shamans as a religious role) Shamans can be asked by the tribe leader to leave their role due to inactivity.

16. - DOCTORS AND LAW PERSONS: - While on duty Doctors and Law personal are not to be killed. If you kill a Law person or a Doctor while they are on duty, the penalty is twice as high for a regular citizen. Off Duty Law and Doctor persons can be robbed and or killed. They are treated like any other citizen. Same rule applies to Law and Doctors- DO NOT take any Job books or Diamond rings (Wedding band) during a robbery.

 
16.1: If you happen to be a Law person, or a Doctor, and you have been caught committing a crime, you will be charged like any other citizen but you may also lose your job. Think wisely. This will fall under corruption.

16.2: Doctors can't help you in difficult places like mountains, rivers and open water, or in buildings/houses. If you sink with a boat or fall off a mountain where the Doctors can't reach... unfortunately you'll have to respawn. If you are in Guarma and or Mexico...These two areas are known as "Lawless areas." The Doctors and or Law have a choice to either risk their own lives to come for you, or you may have to respawn if no one shows up. 

17. - Business Owners: Citizens are only allowed to own one business. Taxes, Taxes are put into the ledger of your business that you own. Taxes are due on the 14th of every month by 12 midnight EST. Make sure you pay your taxes, if you do not pay your taxes, your business will be put up for sale. Taxes are $500 a month. 

17.1 - If you are a business owner, you must put in a LOA if you are not in county for two weeks. After which point, your business may be up for sale for a new ownership! 

17.2- If you quit/leave the server, your business will automatically be revoked and automatically be up for sale once again. Businesses are ran by citizens, if you are not here to run them, with no LOA so we can help with that, or you quit/leave, it puts hardship on the county. 

18. - Personal Shop Owners: If you choose to own a store and sell contraband in your shop, you are at your own risk for a fine, jail time given the amount and or what the specific contraband is, and removal of said contraband from your store front. If you continue to add contraband to your store front, the law will take it up with the Government and prosecution will then take place. It is not allowed to place your store front on any lamp posts, in front of doors, etc. Use wagons, crates, outhouses, etc. Place your storefront where it would make sense. You may have one personal shop per person.  Make sure you pay your taxes in the shop ledger or your shop will be automatically shut down. 

18.1 - Houses: Make sure you pay your taxes on your house by the 15th of every month. If you do not pay your taxes by the 15th of every month, your house will automatically be up for sale including the contents / inventories of your house. The items will then be available for the new buyers.  

19. - Animals: Animals - Do not kill the NPC dogs/cats or horses. It is against the law and you will be charged with animal cruelty . Fine: $100.00 | 20 Labor | 10 Months Jail

 The fines and Jail time will increase.

 
19.1: If your horse dies in the middle of the road, if you can, please lasso them and drag them off the road. It will help prevent others from tripping/injuries, or traffic jams from NPC's.

 
20. NPC: NPC- Do not kill WOMEN NPC as they do not defend themselves, it's not fair...It is a chargeable offence. You will go down for capital murder if caught by law.  If you have been killed by an NPC...call a doctor and make a RP scene from it. 

21. Undertakers: You are NOT allowed to kill NPC's just to obtain the bodies. You are NOT allowed to take the bodies from a scene that you were involved in with your friends, or alone. Example: You and your friends rob a fort, or a bank. If you decide to rob a bank or fort with your friends or alone, make sure you are /offduty as an undertaker. 

22. - Medical Revives: There is no special treatment for medical revives. ALL PLAYERS, including Government (Doctors, Law Persons etc.) Will get billed for medical assistance.

23. - Perma Death: If you choose to permanently kill off your character, this can NOT be undone. Please make sure you have thought about this. You are NOT allowed to give your belongings, (Guns, weapons,  houses, businesses, horses, money, etc.) to another player if you decide to end your characters life. 

24. - Water dumping: is allowed on these exceptions and these exceptions only. You must have proof (Send in three clips with proper RP) that you have been killed at least 3 times by this person in order for Admin Approval for a water dump. Only an admin can approve you for a water dump situation.

25. - NSFW: No NSFW or obscene content. This includes text, images, or links featuring nudity, sex, brutal violence, or other graphically disturbing content. Both in game and in the Discord Server. (There is a specific group in discord for NSFW, but please do not abuse it or it will be removed).

26. - Music: No music should be coming from your microphone in game.

27. - Language: This is an English speaking server. Please speak English in all public settings. If you speak another language with a group of others, please do it private. All communication in Broken Outlaws is in English, this applies to speaking, listening, reading and writing in the main server and all of our Discords.

28. - Erotic RP: No Erotica RP unless both adults are consenting. If two adults consent, take it privately. No Erotica in public. Consent can be gained through /ooc commands. Please Do not break character.

29. - Serial Killers: (murderers who have committed 5+ murders). Players must apply to play a serial killer character.

30. - Microphone: Please make sure you have a working microphone that produces clear audible.  People need to hear you clearly. No use of robotic voices, or voice changers to a degree of unrecognizable audio.

31. - Metagaming/Power gaming: Is the act of a role player making use of knowledge that they have learned out of character (which their character does not know) while they are in character; often considered a form of cheating. 

32. - Exploiting: Taking advantage of a bug, glitch, or game mechanic in a way that wasn't intended by the developers to gain an unfair advantage.

32.1 - Cheating: Using systems to spawn items, money or gain and advantage in game (No-clip, God-mode etc.) will result in to a perma ban.

33. - In Game: Please try and figure things out in game. Example: If you would like a job, ask people that cross your paths, find where that job is located and look for the owner, write them a P.O. (Mail that person) and speak with them. If you are looking for a certain object, or food, visit the towns general stores, saloons, or players stores, ask people throughout the community. 

 34. Fail RP (Combat Logging): You may not, under any circumstance, quit the game to avoid interaction with other players, staff, or to prevent loss of items. 

35. - Feuds/Arguments: If there is a feud between gangs or a select person, that is perfectly fine. However, you can not stop a person from going to and or buying from a shop of your business, you can not stop them from visiting a shop/stand if it is on your property as all players have a right to shop freely. If the shop is on your property and you don't want said player on that property, move your shop. If you are on duty as a Law personal, A doctor, or a Train Conductor, you have to help the person with no consequences. If you all want to go and battle, eye for an eye, rob one another, so forth...RP it out, there is rules for a reason, follow them! 

36. Posters:  In game posters are limited to 5 per player for the amount of time the posters are up for (2 days). Posters must not contain pictures of harassment, racism,  sexism,  homophobia , hate speech, bullying, suicide or self harm, children/pregnancy or slavery, no IRL, and or nudity. ALL POSTERS are to be pertaining to RP!

36.1: Our favorite animal is a yellow Kangeroo and a red Parrot. If you place the following line in our lobby, we will give you $250 in game money.

37. Hideouts: Place hideouts in front of a door.  

37.1 It is not allowed to place your hideout inside of your house behind a locked door, because your hideout can be raided by other players or it may be shut down if the Law has done a proper investigation with evidence in regards to your hideout. This will go by the Judge in court.

Statuses: If a player has a status (Example - In head, brb, etc.) another player shall not harm, kill, hogtie, do anything to that said player. Please do not put a status just to avoid conflict. 

38. Job Books:  Job books are NOT to be robbed/stolen/"borrowed" another persons job book.
If you have a job book, certain jobs you will not be able to work at.

Jobs that conflict with each other:

Undertaker and Bounty hunter.

Blacksmith and Gunsmith.

Blacksmith and Stables.

Blacksmith and Jewelry smith.

Train driver and Carriage driver.

Miner and Train driver.

Miner and Oil Barron 

Miner and Jewelry smith.

Miner and blacksmith

Farmer/Rancher and Saloon

Farmer/ Rancher and Bakery 

***If someone hires someone for their business, please make sure that you look at this list to see if they are able to be hired. Or open a ticket to verify. If you hire someone who has a conflict of interest in between jobs, you, the owner of said business, are at risk of losing your business and said employees in which are hired in your business.*** 

The conflict:

The purpose is to promote interaction and RP between players and also to prevent a single player from being able to function entirely self sufficiently and take away the opportunity for RP and interactions from others.

39. - Staff in-game:  If you feel that any staff member has overstepped, or abused their power in anyway, you may open a ticket with the appropriate evidence and request it to be reviewed by the Governors. Do not remain on the scene and argue openly with an admin OOC. 

40. - Tied with a lasso or bolas:  Tied with a lasso: It is not allowed to break free while tied with a lasso. It does not matter whether this is with a normal lasso or a reinforced lasso, even for bolas it is not allowed to break free. You are not tied down for no reason. You may untie yourself if the person who tied you is far away from you.

41. - Tickets: Tickets will be answered within 24 hours. Please be patient as we have a small team to start out with. Thank you! 

42. - Slander:  Slander, bad-mouthing, and character defamation will not be tolerated in our server. Or towards our server in any way. 

Slander, half-truths, and one-sided stories will not be tolerated here.
Too many folks hear one side of a tale and run their mouths like it’s gospel — and that ends today.

If you’re caught spreading lies, twisting facts, or stirring trouble with “your version” of events, then fair is fair:

Your dirty laundry will be hung up on the Wall of Shame for all to see. 

We believe in honesty. We believe in respect. And we believe in letting the truth speak louder than gossip.

So handle your issues properly — take them to staff, keep it civil, AND KEEP IT FACTUAL

We’re here to roleplay, build stories, and enjoy the world together. If you’ve got an issue with someone, take it to staff or keep it respectful. What we won’t allow is anyone tearing others down, or the server or stirring unnecessary drama. Especially while streaming live. 

Keep it clean. Keep it respectful. Keep it fun.

Or you’ll find your business flapping in the wind for the whole town to read, and a one ticket out of here.

Breaking The Server Rules:

• Category 1 penalty = 100 Labor + 1 Strike against you.

• Category 2 penalty = 200 Labor + 2 Strikes against you. 

• Category 3 penalty = 300 Labor + 3 Strikes against you and one day ban. 

• Category 4 penalty = 2 day Ban

• Category 5 penalty = 6 days Ban

• Category 6 penalty = 14 Days Ban

• Category 7 penalty = Perm Ban

*All strikes can be revoked and you have the ability to start from scratch upon good behavior* 

• On the 3rd warning you will automatically receive a one day ban.  (We can always divert from this) 

• We can also immediately ban players for 1 day or more, this also depends on the severity of the violation that will be decided by 1 of the 2 Governors.

           *Please remember that members of staff do this work in their free time. Please, do not take your frustration out on members of staff that were not involved in the situation.*
