As stories approach their climax, as radiant streaks of light on a hopeful canvas warp and fade before the viewer's eyes, as the moon approaches to blot out the daylight, the fantastical feeling of suspense and thrill clutches our attention. There is the promise that light will emerge triumphant from the eclipse, but there is also the fear that the night will never end.
Great stories dance between beauty and terror, great art thrives from striking contrast. This semester's theme of "Eclipse" looms over Broadside.
Broadside is accepting all submissions of any variety! Don't be discouraged if your submission does not match up with the theme; all submissions will be evaluated fairly regardless of style and theme.
