November 9, 2022 Thames Street Concept Workshop
Interested Bristol citizens gathered in November 9, 2022 at the Bristol Maritime Center to discuss possible designs for roadway and streetscape improvements to Thames Street. The goals of the session were to share potential concepts for improving key intersections, corridors and sidewalk areas in ways that improve safety, increase safe connections at intersections, add beauty and visual interest and improve stormwater. Participant inputs were used in developing the next level of design. See a PDF of the full presentation and all design concepts below.

Ground Rules for Community Workshops
Speak your own truth.
Listen to others with full attention.
Share the floor – allow everyone the chance to have their voices heard
Assume the community is seeking honest input from each other.
Assume that no one has the entire answer, but rather everyone has part of the answer.
Be open-minded to possibilities – learn from each other.
The workshop is about hearing and documenting your opinions on the overall project and the Route Alternatives.
Express opinions and disagree with civility. No personal attacks.
Emphasize support for project concepts as well as areas of opposition.
Speak concisely – 3-4 minutes per speaker is the goal so all can be heard.
Thank you for your participation in Phase 1 of the Project!
