I've been telling you about the way that the Israelites treated Christianity to try to prevent people from doing that again. The passage that this project is based on is in the Bible to remind people of the Israelite's failures so that we don't repeat it. If you look at the modern churches, you can occasionally see that rules based conduct in the way they act, and we need to not repeat the failures of the Israelites from nearly 2000 years ago. That is the point I'm trying to get across. I want you to think about how the Israelites changed the way people were to act as a Christian into something completely wrong. It's starting to happen again, and we don't want that. Christians aren't supposed to be people who hate anyone who is different in whatever way because of some rule that people have come up with, we're supposed to be people who love others no matter who they are, what they do, how they identify, what color their skin is, or who they're attracted to. Christians are supposed to treat everyone fairly, but because of the way some churches are teaching now, that just isn't the way many of us act any more.
