Each INBRE program is required by NIH to have an External Advisory Committee to consult with about program activities and outcomes. In addition, the members of the EAC must review and approve the faculty fellow applications for the Developmental Research Project Plan program prior to submitting them to NIH for final review. The EAC meets as needed and conducts site visits to participating institutions every other year.
