Our Story – Bright Hills Academy

Every Child Deserves a Strong Start

Every child deserves a strong start in life. In Muyumbu Sector, Rwamagana District, Rwanda, many children face challenges accessing quality early childhood education. Bright Hills Academy was created to provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning environment for these children, working closely with families and local authorities to support their growth.

Our Mission

To provide high-quality early childhood education that prepares children for primary school while supporting families and the community.

Who We Are

Bright Hills Academy is a legally registered Early Childhood Development (ECD) center with the Rwanda Development Board (RDB). We work closely with:

·       Parents – supporting children’s learning at home

·       Local leaders and authorities – ensuring programs align with community needs

·       Community supporters – helping provide classrooms, learning materials, and child well-being programs

Who We Serve

Since our founding, Bright Hills Academy has:

·       Enrolled 79 children, providing quality early learning opportunities

·       Supported families through affordable education and parent contributions

·       Provided uniforms, learning materials, and books

·       Equipped classrooms with child-friendly furniture and resources

·       Prepared children for a smooth transition into primary school

Our Vision

As we grow, our vision is to:

·       Expand classrooms to serve more children

·       Introduce lower primary education

·       Continue providing uniforms, learning materials, and nutrition support

·       Maintain high-quality teaching and a safe learning environment
