Committee members – identifiable by light blue t-shirt with Auckley Show Logo.
The Auckley Show is a free entry free parking event that can attract about 2000 visitors at any one time. Traders and visitors will arrive on site for a variety of reasons from 8am. The busiest time will be from 12noon. There are bar facilities in the main marquee. The bar will close no later than 5.30pm. Traders and visitors are encouraged to leave the site at 5pm.
Using evidence based on the last 40 years there is a very low risk to crime and public disorder. A family event with mixed age group.
Important Areas of the site
First Aid Tent as shown on site plan Oxygen and defibrillator available. First Aiders contact number will be available on the day. A further defibrillator is available attached to side of pavilion.

Sports Pavilion - out of bounds to the public. Doors and gate in palisade fencing should remain closed at all times. Traders are allowed to replenish water from the pavilion.
Bar Facilities – in Main Marquee
Toilet facilities are on two trailers, with a separate easy access toilet with baby changing facilities adjacent.

Ongoing Duties and Actions
The SIA officers are expected to patrol around the showground giving a reassuring presence of security to traders and visitors.
Inclement Weather - vehicles stuck in mud. Assistance through Neil Woodward 07799761006 to call upon the services of a local Farmer with a tractor.
Liaising with Bar Staff – regularly to monitor any possible problems developing.
Incident Recording - should be done at the Command and Control Point, this also must include ‘near miss events’ with regard to health and safety issues.
Lost/Found Vulnerable Persons/Property - policy at Command and Control any reports should be managed and directed there, likewise for lost/ found property.
Build Up of Waste – should be to the waste management point located at the Show Information point.
Monitor numbers of visitors in the Main Marquee - the TEN licence stipulates this must not be more than 499 at any one time. Call upon Event Organiser or Deputy if it is felt this has been exceeded. Consider closing Marquee until numbers have reduced.
**Event Manager or Deputy should be involved in any decision making with regards to requiring anyone to leave the site.**
Evacuation Plan
The decision to evacuate the site under emergency plans, known as ‘Show Stop’ will be made at the Command and Control Point by the

Any decision made should be proportionate to the issue and risk; legal, necessary, in light of what’s known at the time, ethical and documented.
Following the decision ‘Show Stop’
NW - Immediate contact and liaison with Emergency Services immediate
AB - Contact with Air Cadet Staff, Cadets and First Aid Cover via radio
HH - Contact will be made to all committee members through WhatsApp group, reinforced where necessary through telephone contact, including car park Team Leader to be identified and SIA Officers mobile (number to be confirmed on day)
Contact to MC in Main Marquee - Ants Lee, requesting appropriate announcements to be made over PA
Committee / Marshalls to direct visitors away from any threat to safety as per the safety briefing. Health and Safety published in the programme.
Serious Threat of Danger.
If an incident occurs that is considered a risk to visitors, announcements will be made by public address speakers and repeated by stewards and all visitors should move to the centre of the Main Arena or Arena 2 as directed by stewards.
If it becomes necessary to then evacuate the site instructions will be given as to which route to take. All persons must leave on foot. Vehicles must not be moved. Do not return to cars until it has been announced safe to do so. Be aware that police and rescue vehicles may need to enter the site through the main entrance. Keep the trackway clear.
Fire
In the event of fire whistles will blow continuously, evacuate the marquees and wait for further instruction in the Play Area near main entrance to showground.
Routes are marked by signs and are shown on our Field Plan.
If you discover a fire, raise the alarm by shouting “Fire”.
Do not put yourself at risk. Instruction is given to move away from danger in an orderly manner.
Marshals will spread the alarm and assist in evacuation of any affected marquees.
Fire Extinguishers and fire blankets are located next to bar and next to stage in main marquee. Also located next to the outside stage in the Festival Marquee and pavilion.
Counter-terrorism mitigation
Auckley Show committee and Command and control point (Air Cadet Staff) briefed on Counter Terrorism Guidance. Have access/ knowledge to action cards.
