Hi-Viz jacket (MUST wear) — collect from Information Stand

Charged mobile phone

Weather-appropriate clothing. Umbrella, sunscreen, snacks (water in pavilion)

Motorcyclists: use wooden block (grass parking)

Information Stand  at Children's Entertainment Marquee (yellow banner) — Lost property, vulnerable persons, complaints   First Aid  Opposite main entrance, by catering (green banners)   Toilets  Two trailers near Pavilion + additional near Eagle & Child Festival tent

  Bicycles  Security fencing near Pavilion   Taxi Drop-off  Outside 29 Ravenswood Drive, DN9 3PA

PARKING AREAS

Marshals: park inVisitors Car Park : Traders: Car Parks "M" & "T"

Public: Areas 1, 2, 3, 4

Blue Badge: AP1 at rear of C block (after 10:30) AP2 (Orange route, near Festival marquee)

 Exhibitor Drop-off: AP2 (20 min limit until 10:30am), then AP1 at rear of C block

Emergency RV Area: Tarmac entrance MUST remain clear at all times

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Traffic Management: Enforce 5mph limit • Park tidily • Discourage reversing

 Security: Threat level "Severe" — ACT protocol. If something feels wrong → Report immediately. Remember: "Guide, Shelter, Report"

 Blue Badge: Only verified holders. Discretion: no pass but mobility issues → allow drop-off near entrance, then direct to general parking. Leave extra alighting space. / Pedestrians: Keep away from traffic flow Challenging visitors: Stay calm, say "OKAY AS YOU WISH", report to Team Leader

TIMETABLE

 1:30pm–2:00pm  PEAK ARRIVAL — monitor capacity  /  ~2:30pm  Departures begin 

 ~4:00pm  Last arrivals  /   5:00pm  Show ends

OVERFLOW PROCEDURE

Alert Event Manager BEFORE car park fills!

 Primary Overflow  Common Lane (past last bungalow) — prepared grass verge  

Secondary Overflow (NEW for 2026)  Rear of Rossmore Close (access from Common Lane opposite Ravenswood Drive) 

 Entry Warning  2.5m/6'6" clearance between concrete posts — verbally reinforce to drivers

Overflow Deployment:

Common Lane access point     =  Marshal 1

Entrance to park area             = Marshal 2

Car park direction      =  Team Leader + Marshal 3

When full        Reduce to 2 marshals at Common Lane entry/exit

CODE BLUE LIGHTS (Emergency Services Expected)

Alert: Radio broadcast to all marshals • WhatsApp group message • Phone Team Leaders

Team Leaders: Proceed to Main Entrance immediately 

Traffic: May be stopped — vehicles stay parked

Highway traffic: Directed around Ravenswood Drive back to Common Lane

Perimeter: Committee members assist for clear passage to incident location
