As part of the "Bridges" youth exchange project, OBA (Utopia) in Turkey organized a special event aimed at sharing the experiences from the international exchange with their local community. The activity brought together disabled youth for a nature walk, encouraging them to connect with the environment in a meaningful way. During the walk, participants were invited to gather natural materials, such as leaves, to create their own unique artworks. This art activity not only fostered creativity and artistic expression but also highlighted the beauty of nature as a tool for self-expression and connection.
The event was a true celebration of inclusion, as it provided the disabled youth with an opportunity to engage in a hands-on activity while being part of a wider community effort. The nature walk and the art activity helped bridge cultural and physical barriers, offering a space for creativity to flourish. This initiative reflected the core values of the "Bridges" project—encouraging cross-cultural exchange, promoting environmental awareness, and supporting inclusivity through art.
OBA’s efforts were not only about sharing what was learned during the exchange but also about strengthening the bond with the local community by involving them in meaningful activities. The event was a success, leaving a lasting impact on the participants and reinforcing the power of art and nature in creating a more inclusive and connected society.
