Effective Date: April 2026
Bridge Inspect is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app operates entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information on remote servers.
We do not collect:
Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
Account credentials (the app does not require an account)
Usage analytics or telemetry
Crash reports or diagnostics
Advertising identifiers
Any data transmitted to our servers — because there are no servers
The following data is created and stored only on your device:
Photographs you capture or select for inspection
AI-generated defect analysis results (segmentation masks, severity values, class distributions)
GPS coordinates of inspections, if you grant location access
Notes you write for each inspection
Inspection history (date, time, model used)
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it (for example, by using the iOS share sheet to send a photo to another app).
Camera — to capture photographs of bridge surfaces for defect analysis. Photos are processed locally and never uploaded.
Photo Library — to allow you to select existing photos for analysis. Selected photos are processed locally.
Location (When In Use) — to tag inspections with GPS coordinates for record-keeping. Location data is stored only on your device. This permission is optional.
You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Defect detection uses an artificial intelligence model that runs entirely on your iPhone. No image data, analysis results, or any other content is sent to external services for processing. The AI model itself is bundled with the app and does not communicate with any remote endpoint.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. There are no advertising networks, no analytics providers, no cloud services involved in the operation of this app.
If you choose to share inspection results using the iOS share sheet (for example, to email a photo to a colleague), the data is handled by the app you share with, subject to that app's privacy policy.
You control all data on your device. To delete data:
Delete individual inspections from within the app's History screen
Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data
Once data is deleted from your device, it is permanently gone — we have no copies because we never receive any.
Bridge Inspect is a professional tool intended for civil engineers and bridge inspectors. The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
If we update this policy, we will revise the Effective Date above and post the updated version at the same support URL. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
