ASAP
Accelerated Study in Associates Program is a fast track program - you take 15 credits per semester, you get your degree in 2 years. ASAP features include individualized course schedules, required full-time study, and comprehensive and personalized academic and career advisement. Financial incentives include tuition and fee gap scholarships for financial aid-eligible students who have a gap between their financial aid award and tuition, assistance to reduce (or eliminate) the cost of textbooks, and unlimited MetroCards for all ASAP students. Some colleges don't offer ASAP, but offer ACE, which is similar to ASAP.

CLIP
CUNY Language Immersion Program helps students who need to improve their academic English skills before taking college courses. CLIP students pause their CUNY acceptance until they finish the program. Once they finish it, they will be able to resume their college courses. Courses are offered in-person, online, or hybrid. There are different options you can choose from: 6, 12, or 16 weeks. It's a commitment of 25 hours/week.
Math Start
Math Start
Math Start prepares increases students' understanding of math and prepares them for college-level coursework. If you have math remedial needs, then Math Start might be of interest to you. You can enroll in a semester long or an intensive summer program. Shorter cycles cost $35 while the semester-long programs cost $75. This program provides a next-step pathway to ASAP.
College Discovery + Seek
College Discovery + Seek
College Discovery offers need-based financial aid, tutoring services, skill building and career development workshops, and academic counseling. This program helps support students who otherwise might not be able to attend college due to educational and financial circumstances. Seek is a similar program to College Discovery and offers similar benefits.
CUNY START
CUNY START
CUNY START is a low-cost program designed to help students who need to strengthen their reading, writing, and math skills before beginning college-level coursework. CUNY START gives you the chance to build a strong academic foundation first before jumping into college courses, so you are fully preaped when you officialy start college.
The program costs $75 for the semeter, and it is offered at selected CUNY collges during the fall and spring semesters.
ACE
ACE
CUNY Accelerate, Complete, and Engage (ACE) mirrors the ASAP model by eliminating barriers to full-time study, building academic momentum, and fostering a supportive community. It is specifically crafted to attain a four- year graduation rate of at least 50% for first-time freshmen and a two-year graduation rate of at least 50% for transfer students holding an associate degree.

CUNY BA
CUNY BA is a unique program that allows high-achieving students to design their own individualized course of study across multiple CUNY colleges. Instead of following a fixed curriculum, you work with a faculty mentor to create a personalized degree plan that combines courses from different CUNY campuses into one bachelor's degree.
This program is perfect for students whose academic interests do not fit neatly into one traditional major. If you are intellectually curious, self-motivated, and want more flexibility in what you study, CUNY BA might be the right fit for you.
SUNY EOP
SUNY EOP
If you are planning to attend a SUNY school, EOP provides academic support, financial aid supplements, counseling, and tutoring to students who are both academically and economically disadvantaged.
EOP is available at most SUNY campuses and is a fantastic resource if you are the first in your family to attend college or if you need a little extra support to get started.
Students admitted through EOP often have access to a summer program before their first semester to help them transition smoothly into college life.
SUNY ATTAIN
SUNY ATTAIN
SUNY ATTAIN provides free access to computers, internet, and technology training at community learning labs located throughout New York State. This program is especially helpful for students who need to build their digital literacy skills before starting college or who need a reliable place to complete coursework and job applications.
