FAQs & Info

Question: What is required of me to book?

I require all brides to complete a bridal contract and pay a non-refundable $125 deposit. The deposit goes towards your travel fee, trial and wedding day invoice. All terms are written in the contract.

Question: I'm interested in booking, what do I do next?

Please fill out my questionnaire and I will reach out to you with the next steps!

Question: How far in advance should I book my preview?

I suggest 2-3 months out from your wedding date. This way you know many of the relevant details such as your dress style, location of your ceremony/reception (indoor vs outdoor) and will have any accessories, extensions, or veil that you plan on wearing.

Question: Can I book a preview before booking my wedding date?

Yes, but I typically don't recommend this for several reasons. Your date will not be held until you complete and sign a contract and pay the deposit. I usually don't recommend doing trials too far in advance, especially if you don't know details such as your dress style or your ceremony/reception location. I also require you to bring your accessories, veil, and/or any hair extensions being used to your trial and if you book your trial too far in advance, you may not have those. Lastly, it is best to do your trial on hair most similar to how your hair will be on your wedding day.

However, if you'd like to book an appointment to try out a style before booking your wedding date - you are more than welcome to do so. Just keep in mind your date might get booked in the meantime!

Question: Do I have to give you the total head count for services when I book?

No, I request an estimate at time of booking and then the final total no less than 90 days from your wedding date. Just keep in mind my service minimum is $510 which does not include the trial or travel fee. If number of services is reduced within 90 days of event, client must pay 50% of reduced services or may find someone to replace those who no longer require services.

Question: When do you collect the wedding day balance?

On the day of the wedding all balances are due. If contract number of services is reduced within 90 days the bride will be responsible for 50% of that persons' payment.

Question: Are there any additional fees not included in the cost?

The only additional fees you could be subject to are:

Travel fee: Your travel fee is calculated based on distance.

Travel fee is calculated by distance from Troy, NY (12180). The addition of a second stylist due to large bridal parties or time constraints may lead to an additional travel fee.

24 miles and under - $50

25 - 49 miles - $100

50 - 74 miles - $150

75 - 99 miles - $200

100+ miles - $250 (plus cost of overnight accommodations, if applicable)

Why is there a travel fee? This covers gas, tolls, maintenance to my car and for my time spent driving to you. This also includes me packing up and carrying my heavy kit (including sometimes up and down narrow staircases). Having a stylist travel to you is a luxury service!

Relocation fee: $50 is applicable if we have to move from one location to another before booked services are complete. Example: Starting services at hotel, but relocating to venue to complete services.

Extension Placement Fee of $15.00 applies if clip-in extensions are requested to be added to the style. Extensions must be provided by the client and must be 100% human hair. Please no synthetic hair.

Blow Dry Fee of $20 is applicable for those who arrive with wet hair requiring a blow dry. This adds more time to the schedule.

Parking fees where applicable.

Holiday Booking Fee:

I am always grateful to be a part of your special day and that sometimes means spending select holidays away from my family. If your wedding day falls on one of these holidays, there is a NON-REFUNDABLE holiday booking fee of $50.00: Mothers Day, Memorial Day, Fathers Day, July 4th, Labor Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day. This fee is due upon booking with deposit.

I do not book any weddings on: Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day

Second Stylist Fee: Adding a second stylist incurs an additional $50 fee and for distances over 75 miles may incur an additional travel fee.

Question: Is there a minimum to book?

Yes, I require a $510 booking service minimum. This does not include a bridal trial or travel fee. See my pricing here.

Question: What if I do not have venue access until 2 hours prior to my wedding, will you start services at our hotel and complete services at our venue?

This is a case by case situation. In short, yes, we will have to begin services at a different location other than your venue. Transferring to a separate location mid-timeline is subject to a $50.00 relocation fee.
