Introduction
In the project I'll be discussing, Sexism and non-sexist and how Kilbourne "Two ways a woman can get hurt" relates to my visual. At the begging of my visual it shows Katy laying on a table naked with plastic wrap covering her. Then the “chefs” cut her out of the plastic wrap and threw her in some flour and started to batter her like uncooked chicken, then they start rubbing every spot on her body until she is covered in flour. Several times the camera zooms in on the “chefs” battering her butt. As I continue this project, I will break down ways both Kilbourne and my visual relates
Figure 1
In the video it shows sexism as you see katy is laying on the table "naked" covered and clear plastic wrap, (see figure one). The men standing around her are supposed to be the "chefs" are getting ready to cut her out the plastic wrap like uncooked chicken. Women will think this okay because they see "katy perry" a famous singer doing it. "Two Ways a Woman Can Get Hurt," she explains that the advertisement world wishes to objectify and present products and women as sexual objects used to relate the central idea of perfection and female sexuality to that certain product. In Kilbourne's article, she states, "pornography can be considered mainstream," (Kilbourne 577).
Women often get offended by certain things such the words fat, ugly, etc. with that being said women tend to cover their bodies up because they are ashamed of it. Advertising certain things on the internet, music videos etc. can also make women feel like they're not good enough. Kilbourne states, "women's body continue to be dismembered in advertising. Over and over again just one part of the body is used to sell products. Which is one of the most dehumanizing things you can do to someone. Not only is she a thing, but just one part of that thing is focused on."

Figure 3
Men take advantage of women and their body. Most men love women that's smaller than other women. Most women that have a little weight on them gets body shamed by men, and most men be so embarrassed by that they make thicker women cover up their bodies because there overweight or, they have scars. This make women feel as if they're not good enough to be in the picture of in the video. Kilbourne also states, "Male violence is subtly encouraged by ads that encourage men to be forceful and dominant"(Kilbourne, Pg 489
Conclusion
This video basically shows that it's okay to show your body, and only cover up certain spots. For women you shouldn't have to show yourself like this just to advertise an ad or a music video. Throughout this whole video all you seen was katy getting touched by males as if they were about to eat her. As a woman you should want to carry yourself as a young lady you are and as a male should want to respect a women's body matter if the big or small.
